Privacy Policy — AdHygiene
AdHygiene ("the extension") is a Chrome extension that audits Meta Ads Manager CSV exports for tracking, naming, budget, and landing-page hygiene issues. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it's handled.
In short: the CSV files you import stay on your device and are never stored, even locally — they exist only in memory while you use the extension. We hold your email and subscription status only if you upgrade to Pro.
What we collect
Ad account data (CSV files you import)
The CSV files you import — including campaign names, ad set names, ad names, destination URLs, and budget figures — are processed entirely within your browser, in memory. This data is never transmitted to our servers, never stored remotely, and never seen by us. It is not persisted to local storage — it exists only while the extension is open and is cleared when you close the side panel or import a new file.
Email address
If you choose to upgrade to Pro, we collect the email address you provide at checkout. This is sent to our backend to link your subscription to your license, and is also stored locally in your browser (chrome.storage.local) so it displays in your Account tab without needing to re-enter it. We do not use your email for marketing without your separate consent.
Payment information
Payment processing is handled entirely by our payment processor, Dodo Payments, acting as merchant of record. We never receive, see, or store your card details or other payment credentials. We receive only confirmation of your subscription status (active, cancelled, etc.) from Dodo via webhook, which we store — along with a link to Dodo's customer portal for managing your subscription — to determine your access tier.
Website content (link-health checks only)
If you use the optional "Run Link Checks" feature, the extension fetches the destination URLs found in your imported CSV — the landing pages your own ads point to — to check for broken links (404/500 errors), redirect loops, and content mismatches (e.g., a promo the ad promises but the page doesn't show). This happens only when you explicitly click "Run Link Checks," and only for URLs present in your own imported file. We do not access, monitor, or store any other website content or browsing activity.
Logo images (Pro/Agency white-label branding)
If you upload a logo for white-label PDF reports, it is stored locally in your browser as part of your saved rule-set configuration. It is never transmitted to our servers or seen by us.
License/device identifier
A random identifier is generated on your device to associate your license with your subscription. This is not linked to any other tracking and is used solely for license validation.
What we do NOT collect
We do not collect: health information, authentication credentials/passwords, personal communications (emails, messages), location data, web browsing history, or user activity such as clicks, keystrokes, or mouse movement.
How data is used
- CSV/ad account data: processed in memory only, never persisted or transmitted, used solely to generate your audit report for the current session.
- Rule-set configurations (naming patterns, budget ceilings, uploaded logos): stored locally in your browser so your settings persist between sessions. Never transmitted to our servers.
- Email and subscription status: used solely to manage your Pro license and billing.
- Link-check requests: used solely to generate the link-health findings in your audit report.
We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties for advertising purposes. We do not use your data to train AI models.
Third-party services
- Dodo Payments — processes payments and subscription billing. See Dodo Payments' privacy policy for how they handle payment data.
- Cloudflare — hosts our backend (license verification, checkout session creation). Cloudflare processes only your email, license token, and subscription status as described above.
Data retention
- CSV data: never persisted anywhere, exists only in memory during active use.
- Rule-set configurations and logo images: stored locally until you delete them, clear your browser's extension storage, or uninstall the extension.
- Email and license data: retained for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period for billing records, after which it may be deleted upon request.
Your rights
You may request deletion of your email and license data at any time by contacting us at arti.rajput2611@gmail.com. Since ad account/CSV data never leaves your device and is not stored, it disappears when you close the extension. Data saved locally (rule-set configurations, logos, and your email) can be deleted at any time by clearing the extension's storage or uninstalling the extension.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated "Last updated" date.
